- Recommends local policy and procedural instructions for the collection of cost and related data from various sources within and external to the organization.
- Prepares life cycle cost analysis/cost estimating studies. Reviews, analyzes and interprets regulations, directives and instructions relating to PEO and organizational cost analysis/cost estimating functions and special reporting requirements.
- In conjunction with other Project Office elements, determines the need for specific kinds of cost analysis/cost estimating data required by the Project Manager.
- Identifies, integrates and synthesizes all divergent aspects of the total system cost analysis/cost estimating program including receipt and adaption of inputs from various related programs and functions within the Project Manager's Office.
- Analyzes-contractor cost, variance by above cost-to-date and cost completion categories with detailed narrative explanation of any significant variances between scheduled budgeted and actual cost.
