    RESPEC, a nationally recognized engineering consulting company, is seeking an individual to provide engineering services at our office in Sarasota, Florida. The candidate will be involved with all types of planning, design, and specialty services relating to community improvements, land development, infrastructure resiliency, and stormwater engineering fields.

    Qualifications: At a minimum, the successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

    • A bachelor of science degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
    • Strong passion for a civil engineering career
    • Approximately 3 to 7 years of experience in land development and/or stormwater engineering field
    • Experience in developing and guiding construction plan package preparation
    • Land entitlement and/or regulatory permitting experience in the state of Florida
    • Practical application of Interconnected Pond and Routing (ICPR) software
    • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS.

    Additional preferredqualifications include the following:

    • Experience in providing engineering services in Manatee and Sarasota Counties
    • Familiarity with development and design processes that are specific to Manatee and Sarasota Counties
    • Regulatory review experience for environmental resource and civil site permits
    • Practical application of various hydrology/hydraulics software including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, EPASWMM, MODRET, and BMPTRAINS.

    Salary Range: Typical salary range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000. Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
