    PHARMACY ASSISTANT

    MONTANA STATE PRISON

    DEER LODGE, MT

    MISSION - Montana Department of Corrections is creating a safer Montana through Accountability, Rehabilitation and Empowerment.

    JOB OVERVIEW - Help and support the medication delivery system at Montana State Prison to ensure medications are ordered, processed and delivered in a timely manner.

  • Maintains patients' records, assists in processing medication orders and tracks delivery of medications from the mail-order pharmacy vendor.
  • Ensure that inmates transferred to various locations in the system and those discharged from the system have an adequate supply of medication.
  • Reports to the Director of Nursing or designated nursing supervisor and provides administrative support function to same.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Two years' experience in a pharmacy or medical office setting, preferably as a lead worker.
  • Prefer a certification as a registered Pharmacy technician.
