SPA's Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Air Force, Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force

SPA has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer located at WPAFB in Dayton, OH
#MC Responsibilities Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
This person will provide systems engineering process expertise to develop requirements analysis, system design process, system integration, requirements verification / validation, and Development Test / Operational Test (DT/OT) processes; provide technical management of DoD contractors and be capable of managing the technical execution and evaluation of DoD systems, subsystems, and components during development; evaluate technical proposals in order to provide advice on the evaluation of technical proposals; plan, program, coordinate, and control the technical executions of engineering functions to meet program requirements
Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in related field, or 7 years of relevant experience with Masters in related field, or 4 years of relevant experience with PhD/JD in related field, or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
• 5 years of electrical engineering/avionics engineering experience as a Department of Defense (DoD) civilian or DoD contractor
• 2 years in a special access DoD acquisition program as a sub-system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I program office (must have accrued within the past 4 years)
• Familiar with the DoD acquisitions process
• Experience with the systems engineering process, requirements analysis, system design process, system integration, requirements verification/validation, and Development Test/Operational Test (DT/OT) processes
• Experience providing technical management of DoD contractors and be capable of managing the technical execution and evaluation of DoD systems, subsystems, and components during development
• Experience evaluating technical proposals in order to provide advice on the evaluation of technical proposals
• Experience with technical risk management
• Ability and knowledge to develop technical engineering programs, plans, and objectives
• Ability to establish technical milestones for the progress of assigned systems through the total acquisition life cycle
• Ability to make formal and informal presentations and prepare technical reports and papers in the technical areas of expertise, and participate in conferences and discussions relating to assigned systems
• TS/SCI clearance
