COOK & Child Care Opener/Floater

· Serve as center opener at 7:00 AM. Receives children from ages one to three-years old and checks them in. Answers telephone calls and responds to general inquiries; takes messages and contacts management as necessary.

· Prepares breakfast and snacks for all children based on the menu and in accordance with sanitation rules/regulations and NC CACFP requirements.

· Prepares menus for breakfast and snack meals ensuring that they meet State meal pattern requirements and regulations. Stays informed about new rules and regulations that impact meal patterns, preparation, food storage, and data collection. Ensures that all kitchen equipment and appliances are sanitized and maintained properly.

· Monitors food and non-food supplies and provides lists to management when inventories are low. Collects meal count data daily for Breakfast, Lunch and PM snacks. Complies with civil rights regulations and participates in Annual civil rights training as required.

· Following meal preparation and related duties, serve as a floater or assistant teacher in classroom(s) to provide relief for lunches and break times. Serve as a substitute in various classes rooms as the need arises.

Supervises Meck Pre-K wrap-around children which is only 9 months out of the year
