Bub's Burgers and Ice Cream was established in May of 2003 in Carmel, Indiana after owners Matt and Rachel Frey returned to Indiana to launch the restaurant with an emphasis on quality food and a fun atmosphere.

When they spotted the "little yellow house" along the Monon Trail in downtown Carmel, they knew it was meant to be With a lot of family guidance and moral support, Bub's was born using owner Matt Frey's childhood nickname "Bub" as inspiration.
