    Description

    This Sr. NodeJS Development Engineer role focuses on project Iris, Comcast's fiber optic and coax network design and drafting platform. Join a team that's dedicated to developing tools to support the construction and maintenance of Comcast's access network. Be involved in building Iris, a modern GIS-based CAD tool used for designing Comcast's extensive network, including millions of miles of fiber and coaxial cable and various interconnecting devices. Be part of our mission to deploy the most advanced networks globally.

    Job Description

    Core Responsibilities

    • Provide technical leadership in a team that develops software using Node.JS and JavaScript in an Agile environment
    • Utilize knowledge of fiber/cable broadband networks to implement business logic into cable network design
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements
    • Design new software and extensions for the Iris network design applications
    • Conduct analysis for integration needs, assist with software updates, and support deployment environments
    • Mentor junior-level Software Development Engineers
    • Ensure software is delivered on time, to specification, and within budget
    • Stay current with industry technological developments and provide technical leadership throughout the design process
    • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
