    Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a
    Security Manager located at
    Cooper Nuclear Station in
    Brownville , Nebraska. Position closes 05/16/2024 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
    This position will report to the Director of Nuclear Safety Assurance.

    Position Summary
    Manage the implementation and maintenance of the NRC required Physical Security Program developed to comply with 10CFR73.55 requirements.

    Manage the Fitness for Duty, Access Authorization, Continual Behavior Observation Program and Safeguards program to comply with 10CFR 26, 73.56, 73.57 and 73.21 at Cooper Nuclear Station.


    Education, Training and Experience

    BA/BS degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field and five years security supervisory experience (OR) HS diploma/GED and ten years experience in security related activities at a Nuclear Plant.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    Supervise, schedule, and evaluate the activities of assigned personnel. Provides work direction, performance management, and salary administration.
    Supervise the development and implementation of security processes for NPPD and contractor personnel.
    Administer the CNS Security organization, evaluate the effectiveness of the various security programs, and initiate appropriate changes.
    Approve, review, and revise security procedures and policies to comply with 10CFR73 requirements.

    Coordinate and interface regularly with NRC personnel, Nuclear Energy personnel and industry security personnel on a regular basis to maintain consistency in implementation of regulatory requirements.

    Responsible for ensuring that all necessary plans, procedures, organizational arrangements, facilities, Local Law Enforcement (LLEA) agreements and training requirements are in place to effectively respond to a Security Emergency and protect the site from radiolocal sabotage.

    Coordiinate with other site departments to implement security projects to meet requlatory requirements to include update security equipment and/or implement any required regulatory orders or directives.

    Salary Information _-_ Nebraska Public Power District offers a competitive starting salary with opportunities for growth. In addition to the base salary range listed below, NPPD employees may also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program (AIP) that may supplement total compensation at a level above and beyond the stated salary range. Successful applicants will be provided more information regarding the incentive program at the time of an interview.

    Pay Grade - 17 Monthly


    Typical Pay Grade Starting Salary Range:
    $12, $15,315.00

    Travel Required: Up to 25% (With no or minimal overnight stays, less than 3 per month, typically within state of Nebraska) _Travel required may fluctuate by business need. This is an estimate and will be discussed further with candidates that receive an interview._
