- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree is required.(Relevant work experience, in excess of the required five years listed below, may be substituted for college on a year-for-year basis.)
- Five years experience in programming maintenance OR five years experience in systems design and analysis is required.
- Three years experience supervising employees is preferred.
- Three years of project management is preferred.
- Willingness to work irregular hours such as weekends, holidays, and nights as required for maintenance and emergencies.

- Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, and requirements related to state lottery activities.

Job Summary:
Performs highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning for the Application Development & Maintenance (AD&M) section of the Information Technology Division.
Work involves establishing goals and objectives, reviewing guidelines and procedures, establishing priorities, and coordinating and evaluating activities for the agency's application development functions.
Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of programmers and analysts staff.Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position reports to the Information Technology Division Director.
