Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician to provide individual and group counseling services for individuals diagnosed with an Opioid Use Disorder. The ideal candidate will assist patients in accessing community resources and services related to their diagnosis, including legal, medical, and vocational/educational needs.

Job Description

The Licensed Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing comprehensive counseling services to assigned caseloads addressing family, medical, and psychiatric concerns. This includes conducting evidence-based group counseling services related to clinical and community issues.

Key Responsibilities

Complete Intake Assessments and review documentation
Conduct individual assessments and counseling sessions addressing family, medical, and psychiatric concerns
Lead evidence-based group counseling services on a wide range of clinical and community issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts, including assessments, care plans, and case notes
Provide crisis intervention services as needed
Establish partnerships with community agencies to strengthen service delivery
Manage a minimum caseload of 30 patients
Participate in regular staff meetings and case conferences

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy required, with one year of experience working in a social service setting
New York State Licensure as a Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist required; limited permits considered with specific requirements
Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment, Person-Centered Care, Trauma-Informed Care, and Evidence-Based SUD/MH services essential
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in computer operation, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records
