Tatum by Randstad has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Staff Accountant available with a manufacturing client located in Norcross, Georgia.

The Senior Staff Accountant will assist in the preparation of the monthly closing for the company including but not limited to monthly operational reporting, inventory closings, and all aspects of variance and financial analysis.

The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with various management personnel in the coordination of the annual budgeting process, as well as various financial scenarios and projects.

responsibilities:

• Prepare and record journal entries transactions for month end closing.
• Responsible for closing and other fixed asset functions for all companies.
• Prepare general ledger account analysis and other assistance/schedules during quarterly and annual closing including any other schedules to support the annual audit.
• Responsible for coordination/valuation of physical inventory cycle counts.
• Closing the month's inventory accounts in the most efficient manner, reconciling to insure accuracy.
• Examine ways to improve workflow. Knowledge/exposure using MS Visio or any other similar software
• Performs other duties as required that are in support of the department's goals to meet company deadlines and objectives.

qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and at least 5 to 7+ years' experience in full cycle, GAAP Accounting required
Manufacturing industry experience required; Strong Cost Accounting experience
Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint); Great Plains ERP, MS Visio (or other similar software)
