- Conduct monthly inventory counts and assist in analyzing inventory discrepancies.
- Accurately maintain pick records and immediately report any discrepancies.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area, including minor repair work and housekeeping responsibilities.
- Review daily shipment schedules and coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet customer delivery requirements. Alert team members to special loading or delivery requirements.
- Lead start-of-shift safety meetings to address recent injuries, discuss safety trends, and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure customer specifications are met by checking specification sheets and overseeing the initial shipments to new customers, including accompanying the driver on the first delivery.
- Monitor daily inventory of finished goods to minimize handling damage and meet delivery schedules.
- Lead team members in conducting daily safety checks of equipment, including forklifts, tractor-trailer restraining systems, and maintenance needs.
