The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Learn and apply industry and Black & Veatch specific engineering codes, policies, and procedures
Support continuous improvement and change management efforts
Perform complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
Collect, assimilate, and manage data for engineering design work
Prepare complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles
Manage and adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
Assign tasks to and coordinate with both internal and external team members on complex projects
Initiate contact with other disciplines as needed to identify and coordinate details of the work.
Actively seek to understand client interests and drivers through normal client contact and through interaction and communication with project leadership

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in most of following areas:

Instrument and/or Service Air Systems
Demineralized (DM) water supply and make up systems
Service and potable water supply system
Natural, hydrogen, and nitrogen gas Supply System
Closed cycle cooling water system
High Pressure / Intermediate Pressure / Low / Auxiliary Steam system
Feedwater system
Condensate system
CO2 Supply System
Calculations which include pipe sizing calculations, pipe thickness calculations, pump sizing calculation, control valve sizing calculations, heat exchanger sizing, atm. tank sizing etc.
P&ID development
Air, gas, water & steam systems, typical systems which we are looking to perform design & engineering work

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 11 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
