Ambulatory Registered Nurse

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join our team at UNM Hospitals. This position offers high earning potential, with opportunities for advancement.

• Provide safe, direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in the ambulatory setting.
• Assist physician with special tests, procedures, and complex treatments.
• Administer medications and perform routine treatments.
• Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in orientation and evaluation of new personnel.
• Assist team members in patient care; coordinate patient care with other UH departments and clinics.
• Provide education to patients and families about preventive care, medical issues, and the use of prescriptive medical treatment.

Qualifications:

• Program Graduate; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate
• 3 years directly related experience preferred
• CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
• RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

Physical Conditions:

• Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
