Description
Overview:
The Billing Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising assigned billing specialist specialists. This role will lead and oversee the objectives set by the Billing & Payroll Support Manager by training and coaching direct reports while completing weekly billing to the customer. This position will all also assign workflows and deadlines to their direct reports while maintaining the same completion goals and rates set for the billing specialists by the Billing & Payroll Support Manager.
Responsibilities:Ensure teams accuracy in invoicing customers.
Prints and prepares invoices, sends invoices electronically via email/EDI, handling billing questions from customers, and providing information pertinent to each customer (i.e., if they require certain numbers for processing, rates, and fuel rates, etc.)??
Responsible for ensuring that all customers are billed according to contract.
Assist in training new team members.
Work closely with other departments as needed to ensure that all customer billing requirements are met.
Represent billing team in meetings with leaders along with the Billing Manager.
Draft and distribute weekly reports of billing specialists KPIs to the Billing Manager.
Assist Billing Manager with time off requests and time sheets for billing team members.
Support Billing manager with internal/quarterly and year end audit.
Bill assigned customers on a daily/weekly basis and act as a back up to cover for vacations.
Qualifications:Skilled in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel.
Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
Knowledge of/ability to learn TMW.
Strong organizational skills.
High level verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize.
Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures.
Associates Degree in accounting, finance or similar field required. 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
5+ years experience in a corporate billing or payroll function required.
5+ years transportation/logistics experience required.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
TMW experience a plus.
Competitive Compensation
Covenants compensation philosophys intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $49,657.32-$77,923.79
Pay Grade: 8
