Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to lead and make an impact? HOAMCO is seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee a team of portfolio accountants while also directly managing a small portfolio of accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn a proprietary computer program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support accounting staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, high-quality output, and professional development.
• Create and implement policies and procedures that enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy across the department.
• Partner with the Director of Accounting to support unified standards, streamline processes, and maintain consistency in procedures and financial reporting across regions.
• Oversee preparation of detailed financial statements and reports for assigned associations, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and processes to safeguard associations' financial integrity.
• Coordinate audit preparation and assist with reviews, compilations, and audits for community associations.
