    Position Overview
    We are seeking a dependable, flexible, and enthusiastic Caregiver Professional to join our team in supporting a wonderful woman who lives in the Point Loma area. She has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy and is passionate about living a self-directed life, full of creativity, choice, and community connection. She enjoys creating art, visiting local shops and restaurants, and exploring the world around her with curiosity and joy.
    The right candidate will be someone who is respectful, patient, and genuinely interested in supporting her independence and personal growth. We're looking for someone who is outgoing, compassionate, and values dignity and inclusion, someone who will listen to her voice, encourage her choices, and support her in continuing to live life to the fullest.

    About Our Client
    This client is a vibrant and inspiring individual with a wonderful sense of humor and a passion for watching a variety of TV shows. She enjoys going out to eat, shopping, and savoring sweet treats. An artist at heart, she continues to explore her creativity with some prompting and support, and she is a strong self-advocate who communicates her wants and desires using a communication device.
    Living with cerebral palsy, she requires assistance with caregiving tasks to maintain her independence in her beautiful home. At Life Works, our goal is to help the people we support live out their dreams and aspirations "one step at a time," and this client embodies that spirit beautifully.
    We're seeking caring, adaptable individuals to join our team in a role that's diverse, intimate, and always evolving. You'll provide personal care and support with daily living skills, paid training is included. The person you'll support relies on her team for opportunities, safety, and communication partnership, so prior hands-on experience with caregiving, Hoyer lifts, transfers, ADLs, and personal care is highly valued.     Hours available:
    Monday - Thursday 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
    Compensation:
    $20.05 per hour
    You Must:

    • Background Screening
      • Must successfully pass all required background checks (e.g., criminal records, fingerprinting, drug screening), in compliance with California regulations.
    • Client Support & Self-Care Assistance
      • Aid with personal care and activities of daily living to promote client independence, such as dressing, grooming, and mobility.
    • Meal Preparation & Light Cleaning
      • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs.
      • Perform light housekeeping tasks, tidy living areas, laundry, dishes, to maintain a clean, safe home environment.
    • Growth & Team Collaboration
      • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, follow feedback, and grow professionally with the team.
