    Position Description

    JPI is seeking a Senior Analyst who possesses equally developed skills and a proven track record of success in Lean Agile/SAFe portfolio/ project management, and organizational change management. This person should have experience providing large-scale military Transformation initiative solutions, Lean Agile/SAFe customization, business process improvement, project roadmaps, tracklines and visualizations. The role necessitates a high-level of team and client collaboration, excellent planning and facilitation skills. This role is hybrid with 2-3 days a week needed onsite at USCG HQ.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • This role serves a large-scale Military service organization, including an executive sponsor, senior executive. leadership, program managers and client stakeholder.
    • This role serves as part of a team reporting to the Senior Project Manager leading support to the office.
    • Implementing program and project management practices, processes, and procedures
    • Reporting on project activities, risks, issues, scope, and progress to executive management, and keeping project teams and decision makers moving toward consistent, business and/or mission focused goals and objectives.
    • Defining and sequencing projects that incrementally deliver program capabilities while managing overall implementation risk.
    • Developing and implementing summary project report structures and project success metrics.
    • Managing projects through all required governance processes and boards, ensuring all required deliverables are completed for each process.
    • Providing consultation in the implementation of best practices for troubled projects/programs with respect to root cause and corrective actions, risk planning and prevention mechanisms.
    Requirements

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field (Business Management, Human Resource, Information Technology, English, etc.)
    • 7+ years (or 5+ years and a Masters degree) of relevant experience delivering Transformation projects, with experience supporting the day-to-day requirements within the government/military sector, to include supervising an Agile/Scrum project team.
    • Industry standard project management certifications: Agile SAFe Certification
    • Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups to achieve HRIT goals and objectives and successfully delivering high-quality results and iterative product requirements.
    • Advanced experience with business applications: MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
    • Direct client engagement within a complex, highly technical government HRIT organization with multiple client leads/stakeholders, operating against multiple strategic business objectives in an Agile development value stream.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, including technical writing/editorial experience, and senior executive leadership engagement.
    Additional/Desired Qualifications
    • SharePoint and PowerBI experience.
    • Experience with Talent Management and/or Human Resources (HR) transformation projects.
