    DepartmentWebb Peds Primary Care ClinicThe Webb Pediatrics Clinic at Denver Health Medical Center is recruiting for aPediatric Medical Director for our team.

    The Medical Director/Team Lead Leadis responsible for managing the staff and operation of a clinic or group ofclinics at Denver Health.

    The physician Team Lead for pediatrics, underminimal supervision, is responsible for the pediatricians and pediatricadvanced practice providers who provide primary medical care for infants,children, and teenagers and help chart their growth towards adulthood withintheir assigned clinic(s).

    They diagnose and treat a range of ailments inyoung people including providing direct patient care and coordinating withspecialists and other providers to treat patients.

    Pediatric specialists inthe Webb Pediatrics Specialty Clinics include both providers from DH andproviders from Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO).

    This is a 1.0 FTEposition with the Specialty Medical Director position covering 0.2 FTE and theadditional FTE made up of clinical, academic, and/or grant activities.

    Aaron Ortiz, Manager of Provider RecruitmentClinic responsibilities:Work closely with Webb Pediatrics Primary Care Medical Director, NurseProgram Manager (NPM) and Patient Access Supervisor (PAS) on spaceutilization, staffing, scheduling and template building.

    Supervise other providers and staff who work with the pediatric specialists.
    Engage in ongoing communications with CHCO regarding contracts, changes inFTE, scope of services provided.
    Interface with Denver Health and CHCO specialty providers and theirsupervisors.
    Explore ways to expand pediatric specialty services through eConsults,additional providers and additional specialties.


    Provider supervision:
    Perform necessary performance evaluations for specialists every 6 months.
    Audit of specialist clinical work including charts and Inbasket management.
    Set and monitor clinical productivity as well as timely Inbasket management.
    Work with specialists on waitlist management. Illicit and address patient andstaff feedback on specialists. Work with MSEC on privileging of new specialtyproviders. On-board new providers. Ensure compliance with DH initiatives e.g.specific trainings, annual flu vaccine, proof of licensure. Monitor forreferral issues including close the loop metrics.


    Clinic personnel supervision:


    Assist with evaluation of the NPM and PAS supervisor as well as staff who workwith both primary care and specialty clinic.

    Help update standard work for staff working with pediatric specialists.


    Additional responsibilities:
    Communication with DH system regarding new initiatives such as new clinicofferings.
    Represent pediatric specialties in Medical Neighborhood Workgroup.
    Be the representative of Webb Pediatrics Specialty Clinics within AmbulatoryCare Services.
    Provide ongoing education to Department of Pediatrics and Department of FamilyMedicine about specialty services at Denver Health.


    Essential Functions:
    Supervision of the pediatricians and pediatric advanced providers within theirassigned clinic(s).

    (10%)Responsible for management of staff and the operations of a clinic at DenverHealth in cooperation with other Team Leads and Director of Pediatrics (10%)Work collaboratively with clinic leadership including Nurse Manager/Programmanager and clerical supervisor to ensure successful clinical operations (10%)Direct supervision of Nurse Program Manager (10%)Participation n leadership related activities and duties including but notlimited to monthly pediatric leadership meetings (10%)Knowledge of or accountable for clinical performance measures and productivity(10%)Responsible for Quality Improvement Efforts within the clinic or clinicsassigned ass designated by the Directors of Service.

    (10%)Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and treat children and provide consultationto parents and guardians of children with acute and chronic illnesses,including major and complicated, and perform procedures learned in training.(1Provide preventative and therapeutic care for children.

    This includes admitpatients, preventative care, acute care, care of injured persons,management of chronic illnesses, and performance of procedures learned intraining.
