    Location: Clifton, NJ, 07015

    Job Summary

    The Industrial Maintenance Technician II conducts preventive maintenance on various industrial and facility equipment such as washers, dryers, ironers, conveyors, boilers, air compressors, pumps, workstations, etc. in the production setup to meet the needs of Dempsey's customers. Responsibilities involve identifying and resolving any potential issues to ensure optimal plant productivity, guiding Maintenance Apprentices, and adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Performing preventive maintenance on industrial and facility equipment.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving potential issues to maintain peak plant performance.
    • Maintaining equipment as per manufacturer and company guidelines.
    • Gaining expertise in the CMMS system and executing all relevant tasks within the system.
    • Assisting in training Maintenance Apprentices on proper maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Contributing to expansion, renovation, and cost-saving projects as necessary.
    • Executing all duties safely and in compliance with OSHA standards.
    • Reporting any unsafe conditions to management promptly.
    • Independently handling troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Interpreting schematics effectively.

    Education Qualifications

    • Associate's Degree, Technical college, or trade school diploma preferred.

    Experience Qualifications

    • 4-6 years of experience as an industrial technician if lacking the education mentioned above.

    Skills and Abilities

    • Team player with high proficiency.
    • Exceptional attention to detail with high proficiency.
    • Capable of independent work with minimal supervision at a medium proficiency level.
    • Proficient in utilizing various tools like hand tools, wrenches, saws, screwdrivers, grinders, sockets, etc., with high proficiency.
    • Skilled in reading and troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, steam, and hydraulic schematics, with medium proficiency.
    • Experience with PLCs, motors, electrical circuits, compressed air, pneumatics, and steam systems at a medium proficiency level.
    • Strong troubleshooting abilities for both control and mechanical systems with high proficiency.
    • Completion of Maintenance Tech II on-the-job training book with high proficiency.
