- Advance microorganism culture strategies, bioengineering, and bioprinting capabilities.
- Design and demonstrate novel qPCR/PCR/LAMP assays.
- Innovate workflows for rapid DNA/RNA extraction, next generation sequencing (NGS) and bioinformatic analytics to include engineering detection
- Must be willing to work on-site in a laboratory setting for at least 3 days a week.
- Design and perform lab-based experiments.
- Develop molecular biology and synthetic biology cloning experiments.
- Stay abreast of the latest advances synthetic biology, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) sample preparation methods, sequencing platforms, and bioinformatics.
- Actively participate in scientific/industry symposium, conferences, and professional societies.
- Present at scientific conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute technical content to grants, proposals, white papers, and internal/external documents.
- Update Health and Safety Assement documents as needed.
- Work autonomously and in a team environment with a positive collegial attitude

- A strong understanding of molecular biology laboratory techniques including: cell and microorganism culture, sterile technique, cloning, PCR/qPCR, NGS library preparations and NGS sequencing platforms.
- A strong publication record.
- Coding and bioinformatics experience is a plus.
- Ability to explain deep technical concepts to non-experts.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to propose and win independent research funding is a plus.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status
Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours
The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees
