    The Assistant Director, Graduate Admissions plays a vital role in helping prospective graduate students navigate their admission journey from first point of contact with Emerson College to becoming an enrolled student. In addition to acting as an advisor to prospective students during the admissions process the Assistant Director is also responsible for creating and executing multi-touch recruitment strategies for a select portfolio of our graduate programs. This is an important role that requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, and an ability to build relationships and rapport with graduate students. This position reports to the Senior Associate Director of Graduate Admission.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
    • Manage a pipeline of inquiries, applicants, and accepted students to yield the class for a portfolio of assigned programs.
    • Provide appropriate follow-up and follow through with prospective students from point of inquiry through enrollment.
    • Present information about how the college may benefit the student's personal, academic, and professional goals and needs.
    • Provide support, guidance, and counseling to prospective students as required, offering a high level of customer service.
    • Develop, execute, and evaluate the overall recruitment and event calendar for all 18 graduate program offerings, including internal and external events such as programmatic webinars, interactive student sessions, yield events, college fairs, and professional conferences.
    • Host and coordinate a variety of virtual recruitment events, including program information sessions, program webinars, and yield events as part of the entire recruitment funnel.
    • Collaborate with faculty to produce event content relevant to the recruitment cycle.
    • Select, train, and manage a team of Graduate Student Ambassadors.
    • Partner with faculty throughout the entire academic year and collaborate with them during the prospective student recruitment, application reading, and the enrollment process.
    • Share and co-evaluate enrollment data with faculty to help inform admissions and funding decisions.
    • Oversee the Student Assistant program and work with each graduate student worker to develop their skill sets in order to support the graduate admission team.
    • Serve as the point of escalation for all admissions-related inquiries, including those related to admissions policies and procedures.
    • Conduct proactive outreach to prospective candidates via phone and email.
    • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
    QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform job.
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
    • 2-4 years of previous experience in customer service, recruitment, or related field required. Experience in student admissions preferred
    • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required
    • Experience working with a diverse student population preferred

    • Ability to maintain multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks
    • Proficiency in using computer software and the ability to learn new software easily
    • Ability to travel is required

    • This position is generally sedentary in nature, movement throughout the area is required from time to time.

    • Repetitive movements, occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds, reaching, lifting, stooping and the ability to read a computer screen, detect color-coding and read fine print will be expected.
    WORK ENVIRONMENT - Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.
    • General office conditions. Exposed to moderate noise levels.
    • This is a hybrid position. The candidate should have suitable remote office accommodations. Must be able to travel to the Boston campus throughout the year for events and team meetings.
    COMPENSATION

    Compensation for this position will be between $ 55,600 - $ 68,150 annually, commensurate with experience.

    Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36.25
