Responsibilities

Program Overview

The Intercept Intensive In-Home Services Program provides a valuable alternative treatment for children and youth who would otherwise be placed in foster care or facilities. Our Intercept family intervention specialists offer support and resources to youth and families within their own homes, steering them away from out-of-home placements.

Manage a caseload of 4-6 families
Deliver individual therapeutic interventions and conduct regular assessments
Meet with families at least 3 times a week
Assess client needs from a strength-based, solution-focused perspective
Collaborate with community members to ensure youth success
Participate in various meetings for professional development
Provide crisis support on-call during weekdays and weekends

Additional Information

Flexible non-traditional schedule based on youth and families' availability
Must possess a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance
Mileage reimbursement for Community-Based staff
Eligible position for gaining clinical licensure hours while working with youth

Salary

$46,000 - $53,000 per year based on education and clinical license

***Frequent travel within surrounding regions required (Livingston and Tangipahoa parishes)

Qualifications

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in a social services discipline with experience in working with at-risk individuals is necessary
A Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
At least 6 months of counseling or case management experience is mandatory
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Basic computer proficiency
Adaptability to flexible schedules
