Job Summary
The role is a vital member of the care team responsible for exercising appropriate leadership and oversight of clinical operations and Medical Assistant staff throughout the assigned site or department under the direction of the Practice Manager.Assists in complex office-based procedures provides clinical oversight for quality control programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the medical assisting team including training mentoring and performance guidance.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members ensuring proper workload distribution and effective utilization of resources.
- Foster a positive collaborative team environment promoting teamwork professional growth coordination patient flow ensuring timely efficient delivery of care assist with patient intake obtaining medical history vital signs preparing patients for examination participates in interview process new MAs serves as preceptor new hires students supervising clinic support staff creating coverage schedules MA team assists competency assessment MAs provides input on performance evaluations
