Job Opportunity – Medical Surgical RN with Pediatric Experience – Maryland

Start Date: March 2, 2026
Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 40 guaranteed hours per week, every other weekend required, self-scheduling

Highlights:

• 26-bed medical surgical unit with 8 dedicated pediatric beds requiring dual competency
• Patient ratios: 1:5 for adults, 1:4 for pediatrics
• EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
• Daily census ranges from 20-26 patients across adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Diverse case mix including bariatric and gynecological specialty patient care

Requirements:

• Active RN license (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of medical surgical nursing experience required
• Demonstrated experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, and blood product administration
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions available
