As a Software Engineer in Omaha, NE or Norcross, GA, you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to powering the world's payments ecosystem

JOB PURPOSE
The Software Engineer independently develops and delivers software features end-to-end.

This mid-level position focuses on designing technical solutions, writing high-quality code with comprehensive testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Development & Design

Independently develop features endtoend from design through deployment
Design technical solutions for moderate complexity problems and features
Write clean, maintainable, and welldocumented code following best practices
Implement comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
Effectively use AIpowered tools to accelerate development and problemsolving

Collaboration & Code Quality

Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers on feature development
Debug and resolve production issues efficiently

Technical Documentation & Process

Create and maintain technical documentation for features and systems
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning
Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and practices

QUALIFICATIONS
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
Equivalent experience (4+ years) may substitute for degree

Experience

25 years of professional software development experience
Proven track record of delivering features and projects independently
Experience working in agile/scrum development environments
Payments, financial services, or regulated industry experience preferred

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in primary programming language(s) used by the team
Experience with database technologies and data modeling
Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web services
Proficiency with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with testing frameworks and testdriven development practices
Knowledge of application runtime environments and underlying infrastructure platforms
Skilled use of AIassisted development tools for productivity and code quality

Professional Skills

Strong problemsolving and debugging abilities
Effective communication skills for technical collaboration
Selfmotivated with ability to work independently
Collaborative team player

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies
Knowledge of performance optimization and scalability best practices
Familiarity with security best practices and secure coding standards
Experience with monitoring and observability tools

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Hybrid work model (23 days inoffice); multiple office locations available
Minimal travel required; occasional conferences or team meetings
Occasional extended hours during releases or critical deployments
