    Diesel Technician

    Description

    $5,000 Sign On Bonus.


    We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business Wichita, KS.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:


    • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
    • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
    • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
    • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
    • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
    • Maintain own tools
    In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

    (Entry):


    • Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
    • Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
    (Intermediate):


    • Completes complex internal engine repairs
    • Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
    (Advanced):


    • Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
    • Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
    • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
    • A current valid CDL is not required for this role.
    • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations
    • This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing
    • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
    • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
    • Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
    • Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
    Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Salary range min $25 hr. - max $38.00 hr.
