- Surgical technologists play a critical role on surgical teams. This position requires excellent clinical judgment, critical thinking, accuracy, and strong interpersonal skills.
- As a member of the OR team, you'll work with many specialty surgeons, their physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses, all striving to provide excellent patient care in a dynamic environment.
- Prepare the operating room for upcoming surgeries
- Sterilize equipment and stock up any necessary supplies
- Prepare patients for their procedures
- Sterilize equipment and hand surgeons instruments upon request
- Order and take inventory of supplies and maintain files and records of procedures
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong technical skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- CST with a minimum of 1-year EV (endovascular) experience. General experience is also required.
- Endovascular experience Certified Surgical Tech with a minimum of 1-year EV (endovascular) experience. General experience is also required.
- Endovascular experience is a must
- Proven work experience as a Surgical Technician or similar role
- Experience with instrumentation in the operating room
- Strong understanding of surgical technology and surgical procedure
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Passionate about patient care
- A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program and Surgical Technician certification

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
- Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
- Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
