    Summary You will serve as a PRODUCTION PROGRAM SPECIALIST in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES PROCESS DIVISION (Code 900P), PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF
    Duties


    • You will extract and analyze production data and provide recommendations and solutions to the senior production program specialist for assigned programs.
    • You will coordinate work with various support codes and trade shops, who are responsible for execution of production tasks.
    • You will provide input on policies, procedures and processes for assigned program to improve production program output.
    • You will assist in the evaluation of production programs to identify delays, critical problems, and impacts to the Shipyard mission.
    • You will gather information, identify program failures, analyze issues, and develop recommendations to resolve substantive problems dealing with the effectiveness and efficiency of major production programs.
    • You will assess the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of production program support and analyzes long-range needs, unusual problems, or unusual questions, and provide feedback and possible courses of action.
    • You will provide advice on production program related issues and matters and/or to influence managers or other officials to accept and implement findings and recommendations on matters relating to production program matters

    • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

    • You may be required to obtain and maintain a current RADCON certification.
    • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

    • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
    • Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g
    fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals)
    You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.


    • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
    You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
    Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing production data (e.g
    performance; people, processes, innovation and consolidation; logistics) to identify adverse trends and inefficiencies and recommend new processes and mitigations to improve program effectiveness

    Education For the GS-11:
    * successful completion of a Ph.
    D
    or equivalent doctoral degree; or
    * successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.
    D
    or equivalent degree; or
    * successful completion of an LL.M
    degree that is related to the position being filled ; or
    * a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
    The percentage of education plus the percentage of experience must equal one hundred percent.
