Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Climbing Arborist to join our passionate team of tree care professionals. As a Climbing Arborist, you will be responsible for trimming and removing trees, removing unwanted, diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Climb Trees: Utilize Davey's industry-leading climbing systems, including DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS.
• Operate as an Active Crew Member: Work collaboratively with ground crew and crew leader to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Perform Tree Pruning and Removal Services: Safely and skillfully prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy, install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems, and remove hazardous trees.
• Maintain Equipment: Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.

Qualifications

• Love of the Outdoors: Enjoy working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or Working at Heights: Preferred but not required.
• Ability to Complete Training Programs: Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program and First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Pesticide and Related Licenses: Preferred relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
