    Primary Purpose of Job


    Responsible for end-to-end production (origination to payoff) of an assigned portfolio (up to $150+ million) of complex commercial real estate term, interim, value-add, and construction loans.

    Major Job Accountabilities

    Leads relationship building activities that result in successful client relationships, deal sourcing, analyses, loan structuring, loan approvals, due diligence, documentation, and loan closings for the assigned portfolio.

    Builds pipeline both through existing portfolio and prospecting.
    Negotiates and structures loan terms and conditions, including the costs, repayment method and schedule, and collateral requirements.
    Executes and manages the closing and booking of credit products.
    Maintains credit and financial files in accordance with Bank standards.
    Ensures loan system information accurately reflects the terms of approval.

    Constantly delivers accurate monitoring information to various internal stakeholders to assure the risk rating and regulatory asset quality rating for each loan reflects current conditions.

    Keeps a clear line of communication open with the Department Manager, Credit Administration, and other internal stakeholders to promote transparency and a productive end-to-end loan process.

    Timely monitoring of borrowers within the portfolio, including review of borrower performance and compliance with financial covenants.
    Cross sells bank products as appropriate.

    Experience Required
    Minimum 5-7 years in the following:

    Background in all aspects of commercial real estate lending. Able to handle the largest and most complicated credit requests with minimal oversight
    Experienced as a Relationship Manager
    Able to prospect and convert non-bank clients
    Able to handle loan portfolio size in excess of $150 million
    Able to mentor others

    Required Skills or Training

    Demonstrated knowledge, relative to peers in the industry, in commercial real estate investment and development principles, concepts, dynamics, market conditions, and trends.

    Proven ability to negotiate and be influential with highly skilled borrowers and their associates, which include high-net worth professionals.
    Proficiency with cash flow modeling, risk & return measurements.

    Working knowledge of various legal documents to include, but is not limited to, promissory notes, mortgages, financing statements, security agreements, personal guarantees, subordination agreements, and workout agreements.


    Knowledge of:
    Modern business practices and the legal structures of corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships.
    Accounting principles and practices sufficient to analyze and evaluate financial conditions of corporate enterprises.
    Business products in order to cross-sell bank products.

    Ability to analyze and evaluate financial/credit data and prepare reports.
    Ability to apply financial regulations, policies, and procedures to analytical work.
    Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
