    Performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation . High school graduate or equivalent.
    Sterile processing program completion and certification preferred.
    One year experience in sterile processing.
    Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.

    Test and monitor all equipment used for decontamination and sterilization within Sterile Processing Department and document results according to department policy.

    Sorts mismatched sets of instruments and trays, and makes them available to sterile processing customers in a timely manner.

    Performs environmental maintenance duties and assists in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the operating room, and in equipment storage areas as needed.

    Assists with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality improvement, safety and environmental and infection control standards.
