    Address: This role can be based at any of three correctional facilities in Miami Dade County. Your location assigned is based on operational needs.

    The facilities are:

    · Turner Guilford Knight: 70000 NW 41st Street Miami, Florida 33166

    · Pre-Trial Detention Center: 1321 NW 13th Street Miami, Florida 33125

    · Metro West: 13850 NW 41st Street Doral, Florida 33178

    Shift Details: Full-Time, 8 Hour, Day Shift

    Miami-Dade Corrections Health Services (CHS) operates under Jackson Health System (JHS) and serves approximately 5,000 patients daily. Patient care is delivered by nearly 400 healthcare employees representing a diverse multidisciplinary team of nurses & nurse support staff, physicians, psychiatrists, social workers and other professionals. CHS supports Miami Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation at 3 facilities in Miami-Dade County and leverages the resources of a large public safety net health system in the areas of education, quality, risk management & compliance.

    Summary

    · A Clinical Psychologist 2 is responsible for professional supervision of a mental health unit or for advanced psychological assessment and evaluation work of a comparable level of difficulty.

    · Supervision is usually exercised over clinical psychologist and personnel in related disciplines.

    · Some incumbents in this class serve as specialists in an area without immediate professional supervision where psychological services are complex in nature.

    · Related professional assignments include training of interns, serving as chairman of diagnostic case conferences or staff training of seminars, and performance of selected consultant assignments.

    Responsibilities

    · Assuring feedback of evaluation and assessment data to the multidisciplinary team to assist in treatment planning.

    · Writing grants and research proposals, and preparing written documents for submission.

    · Directing the Child & Adolescent Center which is a multi-disciplinary psychiatric/outpatient treatment clinic for children, adolescents, and their families.

    · Attending Psychiatrist, Fellows, and Residents, as well as directing the work of Child Psychologist, fellows, and interns.

    · Supervising staff cases and teaching. Directing the Dialectical Behavior Therapy program (DBT-A) for adolescents specializes in the treatment of teens that have difficulty regulating emotions.

    · Supervising clinical (i.e. internship, practicum) and clinical research students engaged in training or research.

    · Conducting and/or coordinating monthly staff development meetings. Coordinating the AIDS/HIV prevention program.

    · Supervising a multi-disciplinary team in drug and/or HIV related research.

    · Supervising the establishment and maintenance of a data base.

    · Implementing a systematic protocol for the collection of data necessary for treatment planning, evaluation of treatment effectiveness, and research.

    · Performs other related work as required. Additional duties may be performed.

    Experience

    Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.

    Education

    Doctorate's degree in related field is required

    Credentials

    Valid Florida license in specialty is required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers is required upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
