    Position Summary

    This position is responsible for cutting, mounting and polishing samples, as well as microhardness testing.

    Essential Functions

    · Cut, mount and polish samples to prepare them for micro-hardness testing and microstructure evaluation.

    · Perform micro-hardness testing and basic microstructure evaluations.

    · Review furnace charts.

    · Maintain lab equipment and supplies.

    · Support all aspects of production and quality control functions as needed.

    Qualifications

    · Read and comprehend blueprints, procedures specifications and sampling plans in English.

    · Knowledge of basic metallurgical principles, standards, methods and practices is a plus.

    · Solid basic math skills required.

    · Must be able to work in a fast-paced shop environment.

    · Some heavy lifting is required.

    · Previous experience working for an aerospace company is preferred.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Compensation

    $ $60000 / year

    Compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
