    We are currently looking for a

    Network Administrator

    to join our team in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    Reporting directly to the Corporate IT Manager, the Network Administrator is responsible for administering IT services at Nortrak's manufacturing facilities.

    The Network Administrator provides support to end users and manufacturing facilities with their hardware and software needs, and monitors and maintains networks, IT systems and services to ensure security, availability and uninterrupted access to network resources in designated plants.

    TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Safety:
    Comply with and enforces all Nortrak safety policies and regulations.
    Wears appropriate PPE in manufacturing facilities.

    Quality:
    Adheres to Nortrak policies and procedures.
    Adheres to voestalpine Minimum IT Security Standards and group standards, policies and procedures.
    Adheres to industry standards and best practises.

    On-Time Delivery:
    Troubleshoots and solves hardware and software problems in a timely fashion.
    Finishes assigned tasks/projects on schedule or before deadline.
    Provides timely IT support to Nortrak employees and manufacturing facilities.
    Monitors key parameters and addresses issues promptly.

    Costs:
    Recommends necessary improvements to network hardware and software.
    Seeks opportunities for increased efficiency in the delivery of IT based services.

    People:
    Maintains close communication with users to ensure individual IT needs are being met.
    Takes a positive, supportive and understanding approach while interacting with others.
    Follows up on the solutions provided to users to ensure their requirements have been satisfied.
    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Environmental:
    Adheres to Nortrak's Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies

    OTHER RESPONSIBLITIES:
    Installs, configures, and maintains workstations and network devices according to company standards.
    Manages user accounts through the user account lifecycle.
    Maintains or supports Local Area Network and wireless infrastructure at designated plants.
    Installs, configures, and maintains network switches.
    Installs, configures, and maintains server room infrastructure.
    Performs and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly backup of data, and verifies backup integrity.
    Provides support for selected applications and/or services.
    Follows standards and maintains assets in an asset management system.
    Monitors and maintains system security and vulnerability scores.
    Manages file shares and permissions adhering to protocols and data confidentiality requirements.
    Supports mixed technology manufacturing environments and has familiarity with Industrial Automation technologies and concepts.
    Occasional travel within U.S. may be required.

    Qualifications


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
    Computer Science Degree or two years of post-secondary diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other suitable discipline.

    Field of Experience and Certifications:
    A minimum of 4 years of experience in Network Administration
    Industry certifications relevant to Network Administration are required and will be evaluated, preferably:

    Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent,
    Microsoft Certification,
    Virtualization,
    CompTIA.


    TECHNICAL SKILLS:
    Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (client and server).
    Networking technologies including installation, cabling, hardware, topologies, and protocols.
    Active Directory.
    Disaster recovery.
    Experience supporting manufacturing facilities and IT related equipment.
    Troubleshooting of IT related issues, problem analysis and problem solving.

    Physical Demands:
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
    Must be able to lift or handle up to 25 pounds at times.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Travel may be required which includes walking, standing, sitting, flying and driving from short to long periods of time.
