    Job Details:

    Job Summary:

    Looking for a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team! You'll be collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide top-notch physical therapy services to patients. Your main tasks will include aiding in treatment plans, leading therapeutic exercises, and supporting patients during their rehabilitation journey. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to compassionate care are a must.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with a physical therapist on executing treatment plans to enhance patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality
    • Collaborate with the physical therapist to assess patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
    • Deliver therapeutic exercises, functional activities, gait training, and modalities under the Physical Therapist's guidance
    • Track and record patient progress, including changes in mobility, pain levels, and functional abilities
    • Provide patient and family education on therapeutic exercises, functional activities, gait training, and home care activities
    • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
    • Suggest suitable equipment recommendations for patients
    • Maintain accurate patient records and keep the therapy environment organized
    • Perform additional duties as needed

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • 0-2 years' experience in acute care and rehabilitation required
    • Open to training a recent graduate
    • Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
    • Must hold a license and current registration as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the New York State Education Department
