    This is a Key Person position at Fort Cavazos, TX (previously known as Fort Hood) in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ. CGS is seeking best qualified individuals for its upcoming bid in support of this task order. Expected award and start word date is March-April 2024.


    Essential Functions:

    • Manage all devices associated with the operations in managing 4 classified networks
    • Configuring and maintaining the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, applications and security updates
    • Will install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
    • Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly
    • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise
    • Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary
    • Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely
    • Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system
    • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
    • Collaborates in the planning and implementation o ADP security by applying, Government security lockdowns as directed from the Government for all devices connected to the network and network management workstations
    • Providing technical support when requested
    • Documenting any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within our computing system

    Requirements:

    • Knowledge of SQL and database operations
    • Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines
    • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Microsoft MCSE certification or similar
    • United States citizen
    • Active Secret Clearance

    Education:

    • Degree in Information Systems or Information Technology

    Experience:

    • 4 years' experience in software installation, configuration, maintenance and security within the Microsoft Windows, all components of Microsoft Server and Linux family of operating systems; to include expertise in hardware and software standards and protocols

    Working Conditions: inside office on Government site

    Required Travel: Minimal

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Work Week: Monday - Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)

    Contract Length: More than 1 year
