    We currently have an opportunity for a highly talented Project Accountant to join our successful team.


    This role will suit an ambitious and enthusiastic individual who is looking to progress their career within an exciting and successful consultancy environment and will field layered responsibilities of leading and overseeing a multi-office Project Accounting Team located throughout the United States and abroad.


    The primary focus will be assisting the Project Accounting Manager in the day-to-day direction and guidance of our Project Accountant staff which includes the accounting/project maintenance system, contract management, billing/invoicing, and collections with additional ad hoc requests for assistance from the Corporate Accounting Executives, Manager's, and staff.

    Responsibilities & Qualifications


    Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) and Officer-in-Charge (OIC), regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and services related to billing.

    Timely reporting for Executive Staff, Project Managers, and Project Accountants.

    Assist Management in monitoring of budgets and billing rates in accordance with the contract as established for each contract period and/or client's fiscal year.

    Maintain minority reporting requirements as provided by each contract.
    Obtain and update Client's with evidence of insurance documents required by the contract.

    Setting up new projects, perform billing transfers, and open/close projects in project management system in accordance with standard processes established.

    Prepare invoice package for clients including related backup for approval.

    Establish and maintain project setup in the system, regular communications with the OIC/PM on budget allocation; monitoring the accuracy of revenue recorded on the project.

    Assist staff with system needs based on security levels and developing system control guides, standard processes, and training sessions for the company.

    Participate in rectifying project management system obstacles and with system developmental needs and testing activities.
    Adhere to deadlines established by Corporate Accounting in the performance of the monthly closing schedule.
    Provide year-end audit support which may include research and reconciliation.
    Perform additional assignments as directed by Corporate Accounting.
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 2+ years accountant job responsibilities.
    Experience in Architecture/Engineering consulting industry highly desired.
    Intermediate computer skills, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting software.
    Knowledge of Vision Software is a plus.

    A knowledge of standard contract terms, including hourly, lumps sum, not-to-exceed and how they are applied in the billing process.

    Proven experience managing medium to large scale projects with changing scope, timelines, and consultants.
    Requires excellent 360-degree communication skills and the ability to multitask.
