    Description
    • Supervise the labor schedule to maximize output and productivity while controlling overtime.
    • Ensure all production areas follow sanitary and safety guidelines working with FSQA techs and management.
    • Ensure all products meet production specifications.
    • Assist in the development of the production schedules and offer insight and input to maximize production efficiencies.
    • Collaborate proactively with Leadership and Food Safety Manager to share production knowledge, staffing needs, and other resources to accomplish goals and measurable objectives and KPIs.
    • Address employee relation issues in a responsive manner that is timely, strategic, proactive, consistent, and fair.
    • Document and report all production and staffing issues to the VP of Business Development, General Manager, Plant Manager, and Human Resources in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with the Production Managers to identify and direct cross-training of employees.
    • Support implementation of GMPs, Food Safety Programs, SSOPs, Chemical programs, and Daily Logs.
    • Mentor and train individual staff members to tailor and utilize their skills.
    • Ensure all production records are maintained to meet ongoing regulatory compliance.
    • Ensure all corrective actions reported by QA techs are resolved in a timely fashion.
    • Maintain all standards relating to SQF, GMPs, HACCP, and Food Safety and suggest areas for improvement where needed.
    • Ensure all Pre-op and Post-op inspections are performed thoroughly, documented, and submitted to the QA manager in a timely fashion.
    • Reconciliation of Inventory at the end of 2nd shift
    • Ability to cover shifts when Production Managers are on vacation or PTO.
    Requirements

    Qualifications:
    • Bilingual Preferred (English / Spanish)
    • 2-3 years of proven supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
    • High School diploma or equivalent GED required; BA/BS preferred
    • Knowledge of GMP in Manufacturing
    • Experience working in a SQF plant, knowledge of Food Safety, and Good Food Handling Practices
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook. Knowledge of Word and Excel is helpful
    • Ability to learn WMS and/or ERP tools

    Physical Requirements
    • Able to walk through a manufacturing facility in multiple buildings including refrigerated and frozen warehousing facilities
    • Able to climb up and down stairs to access various parts of the facility
    • Able to sit at and work on a computer
    • Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping.
