    The Role


    Apollo manages Midcap Financial Investment Corp ("MFIC"), a public business development company (BDC) that provides financing solutions to private companies primarily in the United States, and is launching a private BDC for institutional investors.

    We are seeking an Analyst to join as a core member of the team and play an active and integral role in day-to-day operations of both BDCs.


    Reporting directly to the President and Chief Investment Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and execution of deal-team policies and procedures, coordinating with deal teams, performing quarterly valuations, preparing board materials, reporting requirements, and optimizing efficiencies across the BDCs.

    Primary Responsibilities
    Support all facets of pipeline, deal screening, approval, funding, and portfolio management, including valuation, and board and investor reporting
    Coordinate materials and related information necessary for the relevant investment committee's consideration and approval process
    Execute deal-team policies and procedures for compliance with the conditions of Apollo's co-investment exemptive order
    Support all portfolio exposure, performance analytics, and investor reporting requests, in addition to all facets of portfolio management support
    Assist in coordinating discussion of the valuation of the portfolio companies on monthly and quarterly basis with the senior management, investment team, valuation team and third party valuation firms
    Assist the team with additional ad hoc projects, including but not limited to portfolio monitoring, reporting, investor requests and presentations
    Provide analytical and project support for all activities

    Qualifications & Experience
    1-2 years of experience in a credit or valuations training program
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a proven track record of academic success
    Degree in finance, accounting, or economics and/or coursework in finance and accounting highly preferred
    Interest in credit investing and specifically in the private credit and direct lending industries
    A strong grasp on the fundamentals of the financial markets required
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and across business lines
    Nimble and flexible with the ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks simultaneously with a keen eye for detail
    Proactive self-starter with the desire to take initiative
    Excels in a rigorous environment both independently and as a contributing team member
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

    Pay Range
    110,000-150,000

    The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location.

    Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
