    ReDiscover is seeking an Intake Diagnostician to add to our Women & Children Program

    WHO WE ARE

    ReDiscover has been known for over 50 years as a non-profit community mental health center in southeastern Jackson County, Missouri with a mission of delivering efficient and cost-effective treatment for the people we serve. Our diverse team of over 700 employees is "Passionate About People" as we support our community, specifically those whose lives have been affected by a mental illness or substance use.

    WHAT WE DO

    The Women & Children program is a voluntary, collaborative program that strives to empower women to build resources and personal skills to break the barriers that come with addiction as individuals, family members, and members of their local community. This program offers residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, day care services for children under 12, individual and group therapy, case management, peer support services, psychiatry and medicated assisted treatment.

    At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities:
    • Completes assessment and interpretative summary.
    • Guides client in developing a person centered treatment plan based upon assessed needs.
    • Ensures that treatment plan objectives, interventions, services provided, and documentation are related to needs identified within the assessments and are medically necessary.
    • Establishes rapport quickly and develops a therapeutic relationship to determine appropriate service level and/or discharge
    • Establish discharge criteria with the client and discharges client when criteria is met.
    • Empower clients to develop and nurture the knowledge, skills, and support systems crucial to promoting optimal functioning in the community.
    • Continually assess clients for lack of progress, progress, or emergent needs and address those needs clinically.
    • Engage difficult-to-serve clients by investigating all potential resources in order to gain access and make connections.
    • Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover's designated electronic medical record.
    • Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.
    • Completes internal referrals/transfers to assure smooth transfers between programs to ensure seamless service provision..
    We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as an Intake Diagnostician. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with ReDiscover:
    • Availability to work a full-time schedule, (40-hours a week), Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm.
    • Master's or Doctorate Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).
    • Active Provisional Counselor license (PLPC) through the state of Missouri or a Master Social Worker license (LMSW) with registered supervision with the Missouri Division of Professional Registration for licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in a minimum requirement.
    • Active clinical license in the State of Missouri which includes: Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is preferred.
    • Two (2) years of experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting.
    • Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders.
    • Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
    • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite.
