    We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our client's team in southern Johnson County. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing GTAW of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.

    Essential Functions:

    • Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for assigned jobs.
    • Plan details of working procedures, tools, and material requirements.
    • Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
    • Perform MIG and TIG welding with no defects.
    • Fit and weld assemblies according to job instructions and drawings.
    • Build up worn or defective surfaces as needed.
    • Properly use fabrication shop hand tools such as grinders, drills, and air grinders.
    • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
    • Monitor supplies including gas, weld tips, and grinding disks.
    • Perform necessary quality inspections to ensure parts meet guidelines.
    • Conduct operations in compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA and MSDS standards.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • AWS Certification desired.
    • Minimum of 2 years of previous welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding of mild steel and 439 & 304 stainless steel.
    • Ability to adjust welder settings to achieve quality welds.
    • Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts is desired.
    • Commitment to health and safety regulations.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Willingness and availability to work overtime as needed.
