    Position Description

    The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Mississippi ) invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology. This is a two-year, temporary position beginning in August 2024. We welcome applicants from any area of expertise. We are especially interested in applicants who can teach core courses in research methods or demography.


    The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is a research-focused department with a strong undergraduate and graduate program covering a wide range of research interests.

    Minimum Qualifications

    A Ph.
    D. (or advanced ABD) in Sociology or related field is required at the time of application.
