    Description
    Bright Light Academy is seeking an experienced Assistant Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two full years of childcare or educational experience, and preferably have a background in education, early childhood development, or psychology. Our preschool program serves potty-trained three & four year-olds & is designed to help them grow & develop in a nurturing, supportive environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist lead teacher with planning and implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
    • Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for children.
    • Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
    • Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
    • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
    • Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.
    • Completed CDA program.

    Skills Required:
    • At least two years of experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
    • To pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
    • To be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the United States.
    • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    This is a full-time, year-round position. The starting salary is relative to experience & education ranging from $16.00 up to $17.50 with an increase based on performance after completing your first 90 days. Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but full time staff work a four day work week. Benefits include reduced childcare, paid holidays, paid time off & more.
