- Leadership- Provides instruction to physicians, house staff, nursing, ancillaries and/or students including but not limited to precepting, shadowing, lectures, training classes, CE, rounds, morning report, and or staff meetings. Participates in community/network outreach programs. Develops/leads community/network outreach programs. Demonstrates both an understanding of the contexts and system in which healthcare is provided and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve and optimize health care delivery. Summary:
Functions in the role of expert clinician, educator, consultant, coordinates unit programming schedules.
In collaboration with medical and nursing staff, the NP monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical support to improve patient care and outcomes.
Utilizes the ability to asses, diagnose, and treat patients with mental illness, in collaboration with medical director. Provides high quality, compassionate, evidence-based, and ethical outpatient mental health treatment. Assists in the coordination of multidisciplinary treatment planning and ensures consistent quality care is provided to all patients served.Responsibilities:

Masters of Nursing from an approved nursing (APRN) program; Masters degree in Nurse Practitioner program or post-master's nurse practitioner program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:

Board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the State of North Carolina.
Professional Experience Requirements:
