- Review and analyze existing custom PHP codebase to access existing functionality.
- Future projects will include everything from fixing issues identified by users, to creating enhancements to the existing functionality, to major additions of new functionality and full modules
- Develop and maintain dynamic web applications and web services (APIs) using PHP 7.
- Upgrade and extend legacy systems from PHP 5.5 to PHP 7.
- Develop database objects to interface with front end and middle tier applications.
- Drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs.
- Database management - primarily MySQL, but also MSSQL and Oracle.
- Conform to coding standards using industry best practices.
- Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Document requirement and design specifications.
- Perform quality control on deliverables.
- Other duties as required or assigned.

- Bachelor degree in information systems or equivalent
- Experience in PHP (5 and 7), MySQL, CSS, HTML, Javascript (jQuery), AJAX, XML
- Proficient building database objects including views, procedures, functions, schema and data migrations
- Understanding of MVC frameworks: Laravel and CodeIgniter
- Experience with UI/UX responsive HTML Design (Bootstrap)
- Strong GIT workflow skills - distributed version control
- Experience with SOAP and RESTful API programming - both consuming and publishing
- Familiarity with command line instructions using Linux
