    Description
    A client of Insight Global is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join their team in Kansas City, MO.

    As a traffic engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing transportation systems to improve the flow of traffic and ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.

    Your expertise will be essential in developing solutions to complex traffic problems and improving the overall efficiency of our transportation networks.


    Responsibilities:
    Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to identify key traffic issues and recommend solutions
    Develop traffic signal timing plans and design traffic signal systems
    Design and implement traffic control devices, such as signs and pavement markings
    Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop transportation projects
    Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
    Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and government agencies to ensure project goals and deadlines are met
    Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in traffic engineering

    PTOE License
    BS degree in Civil Engineering
    PE License
    OR EIT able to sit for PE exam
    7+ years of experience in traffic engineering
    Familiar with transportation design standards and guidelines including MUTCD and AASHTO

    Experience with the following software:
    VISSIM & Synchro
    Project management/leadership experience
