    Job Title:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Content Creation:
      • Participate in editorial planning for awareness, policy advocacy, and fundraising campaigns.
    • Social Media Management:
      • Manage NYLAG's social media accounts by regularly planning and creating content, including copy, graphic design, and other media, and managing audience interactions.
    • Website Maintenance:
      • Manage, plan, create, and update content, including stories, statements, news, and web pages, for NYLAG's proprietary websites nylag.org and legalhealth.org.
    • Email Marketing:
      • In partnership with Development, manage email marketing efforts, drafting content, managing approvals, and sending all external marketing emails.
    • Branding and General Marketing:
      • Create graphic designs for flyer templates and special projects.
      • Support the director in ensuring effective, consistent NYLAG branding on all communications materials.
      • Monitor, compile, and analyze data from NYLAG's digital media platforms to strategically increase visibility and make data-informed decisions for future content and campaigns.
      • Utilize best practices and new approaches to support fundraising in a digital space.

    Requirements:

    • At least 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in digital marketing and communications in a professional setting.
    • Proficiency in graphic design and relevant software, e.g., Canva or similar applications/software
    • Proficiency in social media, email marketing, and website management.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a rapid response environment
    • Motivation to take ownership of tasks and self-start.
    • Creative approach to communicating complex topics to various audiences through a variety of mediums.
    • Knowledge of fundraising best practices on digital media platforms.
    • Collaborative and kind attitude.
