    Behavior Technician Job Description

    At ABS Kids, we're dedicated to creating wow moments for our clients with autism spectrum disorder and their families. As a Behavior Technician, you'll play a vital role in helping children learn new skills and reach their goals.

    What You'll Do:

    • Teach children essential life skills while playing and following a treatment plan tailored to each child's needs.
    • Observe, play, and collect data to write progress notes that help us understand the child's development.
    • Help kids master motor skills, social skills, emotional skills, and more.
    • Work collaboratively with the child and their family to shape challenging behaviors into effective communication skills.

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience working with children (camp counselor, daycare, nanny, school setting, ABA, etc.) is preferred but not required.
    • Must have energy, creativity, and the ability to think on your feet.
    • Dependability is key - our clients and their families rely on us to provide high-quality care.
    • You should be comfortable learning new software and technologies, including Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
