    Description


    Summary You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER in the FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS PROGRAM, HOUSING PROGRAM of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA.

    Responsibilities You will coordinate the maintenance work of housing facilities for needed improvements. You will allocate resources for expenditures of facility projects to ensure efficient use of resources.

    You will administer procedures for military family housing and military unaccompanied housing to ensure assignment, occupancy, and termination comply with established policies.

    You will train staff to ensure policies and procedures relative to the assignment of occupancy, termination, and utilization of government quarters are followed.

    You will advise management issues and complaints to ensure resolution comply with housing administration procedures.

    Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting inspections of housing facilities to evaluate the cleanliness, maintenance and habitability of the unit, furnishings, and equipment; 2) Applying applicable federal, command, and local policy to housing management (i.e.

    assignment, inspections, maintenance, cleanliness, etc.); 3) Counseling service members on the availability, type, and size of quarters available; 4) Planning work assignments based on priorities and staff capabilities; and 5) Monitoring housing operations by conducting technical audits or studies, evaluating expenditures, and observing funding limitations.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

    Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

    Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR Possession of an LL.B.

    or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
